Release Locations and Timing

This is where you can fetch your loved one released from prison or emplaced on the Community-Based Programme (CBP)/ Mandatory Aftercare Scheme (MAS):

• Inmates released without emplacement on Community-based Programme or Mandatory Aftercare Scheme

  
  
  

• Inmates emplaced on Home Detention (HD) or Release on Supervision (ROS)

  

• Inmates released on Mandatory Aftercare Scheme (MAS)

  Supervisees released on MAS may be placed on : 

  • Home Supervision (HS) Phase or 
  • Halfway House (HWH) Phase 

  Those placed on the HWH phase will be sent to Selarang Halfway House (SHWH). Please contact the Staff on Duty at info_shwh@yri.com.sg to find out how to contact them at SHWH.

  

Note:
• Inmates emplaced on the Employment Preparation Scheme or the Halfway House Scheme will not be allowed to leave the designated place of stay except for valid reasons.
• The inmates are aware of their release dates and next-of-kin may ask them during visit sessions or through e-letters.
• The estimated time of release is not applicable to remand inmates who are awaiting their release upon bail approval.
• Foreigners will be released to Immigration and Checkpoint Authority, Repatriation Unit. They will be allowed to contact their famly and friends in Singapore, upon their request, if they have important information to relay before their repatriation.
